I need sleep!! Camp ended today. It was pretty fun :] On the first day, ee reached school and put our barang barang in the class. Carissa's bag was HUGE. Hahaha. So funny. We then went to the parade ground, which we found out that our ear-rings have to be
0.3cm in
diameter. And they don't allow those little hoops no more. Boo. I can't wear my hoops. The prefects actually went down the rows, or rather columns and placed a
ruler beside some of those people with 'suspicious' looking earrings! LMAO. 0.3cm is like so small. Sheesh. Now I have to wear these ball bearing sort of earring, which is SO common. Puke.
ANYWAY. Then we had some sort of breakfast break (hahaha) and we had to change to our house shirts and sandals. Then we met at chapel for our briefing on DRAGON BOATING!! We reached the Kallang River at about 10.30 and it was MEGA fun!! There are two size of boats: big one, which can take 22 people, and the small one, which can take 12 people. I took the big one :D It was pretty exciting (sounds like the wrong word to use. heh) to board the boat (which TOTALLY LOOKS LIKE A SAMPAN! hahaha), cause we had to go down these metal steps, then onto this floating dock which is really bumpy then onto the boat. Wait, I know all of you are like thinking that dragon boating = a boat with a dragon's head in the front with a loud drum in the front of the boat, but seriously, it looks like those fishermen's boat/sampan! Haha.
We were all given paddles and life jackets and we were off. There was a trainer at the back of the boat. He's pretty tease-y. Cause at the starting, all of us were like screaming and stuff, cause the boat kept rocking, cause of the uneven weight on both sides. Then he purposely rocked the whole thing (he was standing at the back of the boat) with his legs (duh), which made everyone sort of panic and screamed even louder (I swear my eardrums nearly burst) and the boat rocked even harder. Haha. Come to think of it now, it's actually pretty funny, really.
Then we learnt the different paddle movements thing and we slowly set off. Then the fun part started. Heh heh. We started to attack other boats! We paddled 'innocently' near another boat (actually we were pretty noisey cause everyone was so excited and we talking to loudly, that it wasn't much of a surprise), and we used this little pail thing, scooped it with water and poured it on some of them on the other boat. We also used our paddles and wet them. SO FUN. Then we quicked paddled away, but we were already kinda wet. Haha. Then, Gladys (sitting just behind me) took the pail thing, filled it with seawater and poured the whole thing on me! Haha. My eye kidna hurt that time, cause the water was really salty and stingy, but I now find it totally fun :] Haha. Then we attacked other boats and then, we saw the teachers' boat!! Haha. Our boat and another boat allianced and we attacked the teachers', but failed rather horribly. LOL. Mr Lim was SOO strong that he kept flapping his paddles at us and so much water was splashing at us we could barely see! Haha. So we quickly paddled away, this time, thoroughly soaked to the skin. A while later, we sat on the edge of the boat:

(We are sitting on the edge of the boat. Not floating in the air. And, the double lines in the middle are the seatse for us to sit in) The trainer would rock the boat and it's just SO fun!! I SO LOVE DRAGON BOATING. We 'boated' for about two hours I think, then we stopped. Booo. Wait, before the paddled back to the dock, we had this boat race! The big boats against the big boats and the small boats against the small boats! Three boats went at a time! Our boat won!! Woohoo! Then, we paddled back to dock and we returned the life jackets and paddles. We so did not want to leave the boats ): We lef the place and boarded the bus. We totally made the bus really wet, cause we were all soaking wet. Kinda disgusting at first, but soon the water evaporates. My hand got all dry and icky, cause of the salty seawater which really dries my skin up.
We then went back to school, cleaned up and had lunch. The coaches (I think they are volunteers from SAJC and ACJC :D) were really sweet, they served us lunch :] Haha. After that we had this Mass Dance session with Coach Luke (not volunteer from ACJC/SAJC. as in adult-y) in the hall. We got our camp shirts! ORANGE! Haha. We changed into them and when we came back, they switched on the air-con! For about like half an hour only. Haha. Anyway, better than nothing. Then we learnt this dance which was really fast but totally
fun! We did the Macarena too!! I had 24698456166394892 tonnes of fun!! We were in the hall doing all this for like about THREE HOURS :] I can't believe it either. Cause it
was pretty fun and everyone was enjoying themselves :D (i think).
We had dinner after that, and then we had our CAMPFIRE! There was actually meant to be a real fire, but the only place where we could have an actual fire was in the field, and there wasn't a proper sound system and more importantly, there were obviously gonna be
insects, which is really disgusting and icky. So instead, we had this 'fake' campfire in the middle of the hall! Haha. They switched on the air-con too!! I mean, there was actually really fire as in they used lots of big candle things (they weren't actually candles, I dunno what you call em), and they switched on the air con! It was mega cool. We sang songs, played lots and lots of really fun games and had another round of dancing... with the teachers! HAHAHA. They are SUPER cute!! We danced the Chicken Dance :D Even the teachers!!! Ahahahahaha. Everyone was super high and it was all so fun!
Then, we had to bathe at about 10 plus, which was kind of horror. Cause we had to use buckets and pails to bathe. Haha. Not going into detail on this one :B Okay, this is one long entry. To cut short, we woke up the next morning, when for morning assembly, ate breakfast, had this talk in the chapel (we were SUPER tired) with Coach Jay (whom is sooo cool), had this Treasure Hunt thing and then we left for home.
That is all :]
